INVESTIGATING THE PROGRESSION OF NEUROIMAGING BIOMARKERS IN THE APPSWE/PS1DE9 TRANSGENIC MOUSE MODEL OF ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE

      In the current research criteria of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) the neuro-pathological changes are the main diagnostic categories. This highlights the importance of finding reliable in-vivo biomarkers to identify the initial stages of AD. Transgenic mouse models serve as mechanistic model of AD and hence offer a good opportunity for studying the progression of the underlying patho-mechanics over the course of the disease. In this study, we investigated the changes in structural and metabolic biomarkers based on neuroimaging in APPswe/PS1dE9 transgenic mouse model of AD.
